Why FC Pride Soccer Club?
Our professional coaching staff is licensed and experienced in teaching children to play, and enjoy, the game of soccer while providing the foundation for every player to reach his or her true potential.
Based in Lawrence, FC Pride is one of Indiana’s largest travel clubs and has a national reputation for developing soccer players. FC Pride Soccer Club’s professional soccer programs have successfully prepared players for their respective high school, college, or professional soccer careers.
Where do you train and play your games?
- All outdoor training takes place at Lawrence Soccer Complex.
- 50% of our league games are played at Lawrence Soccer Complex.
What programs do you offer for my child?
- Lil’ Kickers: 18 months -5 years
- Youth Development Program: 5-8 years
- Youth Travel Teams: 8-10 years (age specific)
- Junior Travel Teams: 11-14 years (age specific)
- Senior Travel Teams: 15-19 years (age specific)
- Adult Soccer League: 25-up
- Classic Level: (see below)
Does my son or daughter have to tryout?
FC Pride holds team selections in June for all travel teams ages 8-19.
Youth Development Program (YDP): There is no selection process for this program- just sign up. This program is designed to prepare players for entry into our Youth Travel program. Players may participate in the YDP and a recreational program.
Youth Travel Teams (ages 8-10): Players must register and attend one night during the selection process. Typically, all players will be accepted and placed on age/gender specific teams.
Junior Travel Teams (ages 11-14): Players must register and attend two nights during the selection process. Players will be placed on age/gender specific teams according to playing ability. FC Pride typically has 2-3 teams in each age group.
Senior Travel Program (ages 15-19): Players must register and attend two nights during the selection process. Players will be placed on age/gender specific teams according to playing ability. FC Pride typically has 2 teams in each age group.
Can you explain the Classic Level?
We understand that some families may not want to participate at the other levels we offer, for many reasons. The Classic level allows for players who desire a little more than the traditional recreational programming, without the extra expenses. The Classic level will be offered at ages U11-U19.
The Classic Level team will still be overseen by FC Pride’s professional coaching staff, and work within the curriculum that the Director of Coaching (DOC) develops. The Classic level team is only offered if enough players want to participate at this level and a parent is willing to coach.
The cost for the Classic Level is $300 per season. Players may choose to participate in the fall only, spring only, or both. The cost includes all expenses except uniform and any travel expenses.
How much travel will my family have to do? We have heard that we will be gone every weekend.
The amount of travel is dependent on the age of the players and their level of play. Typically, a 10-year old player will play 5 games away from Lawrence Soccer Complex, in the greater Indianapolis area. He or she may attend 1-2 tournaments in fall and 1-2 tournaments in the spring. In most cases, no more than 2 tournaments each year will require overnight stay.
What if my son or daughter wants to play only in the Fall or Spring?
For most of our players the answer is no, as our programs are year round for Youth and Junior Teams. Players participating in the Classic Level may play in the fall only, spring only, or both.
- Youth and Junior Teams play August-June. Youth and Junior Teams are typically off in November, December, and July.
- Senior Teams (Elite) play November-June;
- Senior Teams (Classic/Select) play January-June.
What if my son or daughter wants to play another sport?
Many of our players participate in other sports while playing for FC Pride Soccer Club.
How much does it cost? I have heard that it is very expensive.
That is a very subjective question. It depends on what you are comparing our costs to (Hockey, Dance, Gymnastics, Tutoring sessions). Each program is priced differently based upon your player’s age and level of play. Remember, for most programs, this price includes fall and spring seasons, and winter training.
- Youth Development Program: $150.00 per year
- Youth Travel Teams: $600 per year *Includes uniform, excludes travel expenses.
- Junior Travel Teams: $600-$1800 per year *excludes uniform cost and travel expenses.
- Senior Travel Teams: $600-$1500 per year *excludes uniform cost and travel expenses.

Are all of your coaches paid?All coaches in the Youth Development and in the Select and Elite levels of the Youth, Junior and Senior Travel programs are professionally licensed by either US Soccer Federation (USSF) or the National Soccer Coaches’ Association of America (NSCAA) and are paid. Classic level (parent) coaches are not paid.
Are there 2 soccer programs at Lawrence Soccer Complex? I am confused.
Yes. FC Pride Soccer Club and Northeast Youth Soccer League (NYSL).
What are the differences between NYSL & FC Pride Soccer Club?
Northeast Youth Soccer League (NYSL) is a volunteer run organization providing recreational soccer programming to players aged 5-19 in the Lawrence community.
FC Pride Soccer Club is professional youth sports organization. The club is directed by a full time director of coaching (DOC) who oversees the entire program. The DOC has other directors who have specific programming responsibility. Sixty percent of the membership comes from outside Lawrence Township.
