Competition Platform

Purpose: To provide a guide for parents and players on the competition platforms that FC Pride teams may participate in during the playing year.

About US Club Soccer:

US Club Soccer is a non-profit organization committed to the development and support of soccer clubs and players in the United States. A National Association member of the U.S. Soccer Federation, US Club Soccer offers youth and adult player and staff registration, integrated competition platforms at the recreational and competitive levels, as well as a variety of other programming, including the id2 National Player Identification and Development Program.

US Club Soccer is a national organization- leagues and clubs join US Club Soccer without any state boundaries. 

About US Youth Soccer :

US Youth Soccer is non-profit and educational organization whose mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America’s youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition. Our job is also to make it fun, and instill in young players a lifelong passion for the sport.

US Youth Soccer is the largest member of the United States Soccer Federation, the governing body for soccer in the United States.

US Youth Soccer is made up of 55 member State Associations; one in each state, and two in California, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas. Indiana Soccer is a member of US Youth Soccer.

National Champions Platform

Indiana State Cup (Indiana Soccer)           U13-U18 team

Teams must qualify through league play (US Youth Soccer) to enter the Indiana State Cup. The Indiana State Cup is an event sanctioned by US Youth Soccer is part of the US Youth National Championship Series

 State Cup Champions advance to the Region 2 Championship with the other winners from the 14 states in the Region.

Regional winners advance to the US Youth National Championship. There are four regions in US Youth Soccer.

US Club National Cup       U11-U18 teams

US Club Regional Champions (U13-U17) advance to the US Club National Cup. 

President’s Cup (Indiana Soccer)                             U11-U18 teams

President’s Cup is the second state tournament hosted by Indiana Soccer. It is for Premier U11-U12 teams, there is no advancement for these teams.

U13-U18 teams who do not qualify for the Indiana State Cup may elect to play in this event.

U13-U18 President’s Cup Champions advance to Presidents Cup Regionals where they compete against other Presidents Cup winners from different States in the Region.

League Platform

Midwest Regional League (US Youth Soccer)            U13-U18 teams

There are 3 levels of the “MRL”, Premier, First and Second divisions. Promotion from second to first and first to Premier is based on the league standings the previous season.

The MRL Premier Division winner (or highest place that is not a State Cup champion) goes directly to the Region II Championship.

The MRL is a competition model that combines teams from Region II (14 states) into a competitive league season. First and Second division brackets are decided by geography. The MRL Premier division is top 8 teams in the region.

Indiana Soccer League (US Youth Soccer)            U9-U18 teams

The ISL is a statewide league and the winner of the Premier division is promoted to the MRL. The primary purpose is to create a competition platform for teams in Indiana.

Tournaments 

College Showcase: A college showcase is an event where no Championship game is played. U15-U18 teams compete against each other in games that are viewed by college coaches of all levels.

Club Tournaments: Club Tournaments are events where there is a Championship game played. Tournaments are competed in by teams of all ages.  Tournaments are typically reserved for U10-U14 teams.
